Setting up your loom to make loom bands zigzag bracelets!
Set up your loom in the STAGGERED configuration, making sure the arrow is facing away from you, then place the bands in the order shown in the diagram.
Turn your loom so the arrow is facing towards you. With this design, you’re only going to be looping the red bands, starting with band 28. So, putting your hook inside this right-hand peg, push back the top band, hook the red band directly below it and loop it diagonally to its original peg in the central row.
Putting your hook back in the peg you just looped to, catch the bottom red band from inside the black band and loop it forward.
At the next peg, be sure to go inside both the black and white bands to catch the bottom red band before looping it forward.
Continue looping the next ten red bands in the central row, making sure to always go inside the black and white bands to hook the bottom red bands.
Now, go back to the first peg on the right-hand side, which has band 28 around it. Using your hook, reach inside and catch the bottom red band and loop it forward.
At the peg you just looped to, go inside both the black and white bands to catch the the bottom red band before looping it forward.
repeat step 6 a further 11 times, nothing that the last band in the right-hand row will be hooked as normal, but loop diagonally to the central row.
Now, put your hook in the peg you just ended on, reach down inside, catch the bottom red band and loop dioganally backwards to the left-hand row.
Slide both ends of the last band off the last peg and onto your hook before pulling all your bands off the loom.
Now, extend your bracelet using the remaining red bands.
