For making loom bands scalloped necklace project you’ll need:
49 blue bands
96 yellow bands
Setting up your loom scalloped necklace!
Set up your loom in the STAGGERED configuration, making sure the arrow is facing away from you, then place the bands in the order shown in the diagram to make loom bands scalloped necklace.
Turn your loom so the arrow is facing towards you.You’re going to start by yellow bands in this design, in reverse order to how they were placed. So, putting your hook inside blue band 37, Push it back , catch the yellow band and loop it diagonally to the central row.
Now, put your hook inside the peg you just looped to, catch the bottom yellow band and loop it diagonally to the left-hand row.
Continue hooking and looping the remaining 22 yellow bands in the same way, in reverse order to how they were placed, being careful to only catch the bottom yellow band in your hook each time.
Now, go back to blue band 37, put your hook inside, catch the bottom blue band and loop it forward.
Continue hooking and looping the next 11 blue bands in this row in the same way, making sure you always go inside the other bands on the peg and only catch the bottom blue band in your hook.
You’ll have reached the end of the loom by now. Put your hook inside the peg, slide the last band ends onto it and pull the bands off the loom.
Now, making sure the loom arrow is facing away from you, place another set of bands as shown in the diagram. However, instead of blue band 37, stretch the band ends off your hook and onto the peg.
Now, repeat steps 1-7 twice more to extend the length of your necklace. You should now have placed all of your bands.
Once more, repeat steps 1-6, but this time, attach the band ends that are on your hook together using a clip.
Finally, slip the band at the other end of the chain into the clip as well.
