For making loom bands doughnut badge project you’ll need:
- 1 purple band
- 8 pink bands
- 8 white bands
- 17 brown bands
Setting up your loom to make loom bands doughnut badge!
Set up your loom in the SQUARED configuration, making sure the arrow is facing away from you, then place the bands in the order shown in the diagram.
Turn your loom so the arrow is facing towards you.You’re going to be hooking and looping the bands in reverse order to how they were placed, starting starting with brown, then pink and white. So, putting your hook inside band 34, push it back, catch the top pair of brown bands and loop them diagonally to the left-hand peg.
Putting your hook inside the peg you just looped to, catch the next pair of brown bands and loop them forward.
Hook and loop the next two pairs of brown bands in the same way, making sure each time that you only catch the brown bands in your hook. Note that the second pair will be hooked as normal, but looped diagonally to the upper central peg.
Go back to brown band 34, put til your hook inside, PUSH it back, catch the next pair of brown bands and loop them diagonally to the upper right-hand peg.
Repeat steps 2-3 on the right-hand side.
Now, 90 back to brown band 34, hook the top pair of white and pink bands, and loop them diagonally to the upper left-hand peg.
Hook and loop the next three pairs of white and pink bands, making sure each time that you only catch the bottom white and pink bands in your hook. Note that the third pair will be hooked as normal, but looped diagonally to the upper central peg.
Repeat steps 6-7 on the right-hand side.
Put your hook in the peg you just ended on, reach down inside, catch the bottom purple band and loop it forward.
Using your hook, pull the bottom of the band up through itself to create a slipknot and pull all your bands off the loom. Your tasty doughnut is ready!
