Setting up your loom to make loom bands cluster ring!
Set up your loom in the STAGGERED configuration. Place the bands in the order shown in the diagram. Before placing black bands 4-11, take a coloured band, wrap it around the hook four times, then catch a black band on the end of the hook and slide the coloured band onto it. Then stretch it between the pegs as normal.
Turn your loom so the arrow id facing towards you. You’re going to be looping the black bands in reverse order to how they were placed, so put your hook inside band 15, push it back, catch the bottom black band and loop it forward.
Hook and loop the next two bands forward in the same way.
The chain now forks. Put your hook inside the looped band to catch the next band down and loop it diagonally to the upper left-hand side.
Continue hooking and looping the next two black band in the chain forward, noting that the second will be hooked as normal, but looped diagonally to the central row.
Go back to where the chain forked, take the next black band and loop it diagonally to its original peg on the right-hand side.
Continue hooking and looping the next two black bands in the chain forward, noting that the second will be hooked as normal, but looped diagonally to the central row.
Once more, go back to where the chain forked, catch the bottom black band and loop it forward.
Continue hooking and looping the remaining four black bands forward, making sure to only catch the bottom band each time.
Now, put your hook through the band ends on the last peg and attach them together with a clip.
Pull the bands off the loom, before sliding the black band from the other end of the chain into the clip as well.
